ABOUT us
Young Professionals of Lake Cumberland (YPLC) is a diverse group of young business leaders working collaboratively to make the Lake Cumberland region a spectacular place to live, work, and play. Motivated by a desire to promote positive change in our community, YPLC provides its members with networking opportunities to build relationships with community and business leaders, get involved with volunteer efforts of local organizations, and to participate in the political, economic, and cultural development of the area.
Our History
Originally named the “Young Chamber Professionals,” this local organization was designed to bring together young professionals in the Lake Cumberland area to network and create long-lasting connections. As the club evolved, it saw ebbs and flows of membership and vision eventually settling and finding footing in 2018. With its newly found foundation, the club began offering monthly networking luncheons and after-hours events for its approximately 78 members. In 2019, the club branched off from the Somerset-Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce and became Young Professionals of Lake Cumerland Inc.
Today, YPLC has over 100 members and continues to provide networking opportunities to young professionals throughout the Lake Cumberland Region. Our annual events include our monthly luncheon series, after hours events, our annual golf tournament, and professional development workshops!
